Welcome to ‘GAzetteer’ Australia - the GA members’ story page

GAzetteer Australia offers an anonymous forum for you to share your stories of strength and hope in recovery. You can write about living life without the need to gamble and how your life and relationships have changed. You are encouraged to tell us about your slips and what brought you back to GA.

Are there any publishing guidelines?
Yes. You are asked to follow these guidelines.
  • Submit your stories to gazette@gaaustralia.org.au.
  • Please keep your submissions to about 300 words - approximately half an A4 page.
  • And speaking of anonymity, by reading these pages, you are asked to acknowledge Unity Step 12 "Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of the Gambler’s Anonymous program, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities”.
  • Stories will be published quarterly i.e. summer, autumn, winter and spring editions.
  • Please DO NOT include people’s names, venues, amounts for returns or losses, media outlets, celebrities, sports betting agencies, organisations or companies.

Is there an editorial review of submissions?
Yes. As at June 2019 a group of delegates under the NSW RSO will offer editorial advice.

To contact the editorial team and to make submissions, contact gazette@gaaustralia.org.au. Title your email ‘GAzette Submission’.
